South Central Strategic Health Authority Board approve water fluoridation scheme in Southampton

 

On the 26th February 2009, the Board of South Central Strategic Health Authority (SCSHA) voted unanimously in favour of the proposal to increase the level of fluoride in the local water supply of Southampton and parts of south west Hampshire from 0.08 parts per million to 1ppm – the optimal level for tackling tooth decay.
Oxford Public Health mini-conference announced

The first public health mini-conference will be held on 30 April 2008 at the Richards Building, Old Road Campus, Old Road, Oxford, OX3 7LF.

Faculty of Public Health launches career resource

The Faculty of Public Health has just launched a careers resource for people considering training in public health. A new leaflet 'Public Health: specialise in the bigger picture' is backed by an on line resource.
