Electronic Portfolio

The e-portfolio will replace the current paper-based documentation for the Curriculum 2007. Pilots have been successful undertaken and implementation is due to follow shortly. Indications suggest that training on the e-portfolio will be provided in the regions.

The Faculty of Public Health will expect trainees on the Curriculum 2007 to adopt the e-portfolio as soon as possible, retrospectively updating it with the whole of training to date. This has been agreed by Training Programme Directors.

The updating process, however, does not only involve uploading past activity logs and evidence, it will also require that the contents from the activity logs be copied into the web based form and the associated learning outcomes selected. Additionally, backing evidence will need to be uploaded. Completion of this process will generate an email to the educational supervisor (at the time) who will then be asked to electronically sign off the learning outcomes.

At the current time it is not clear how the e-portfolio will feed into the current annual appraisal process (ARCP), however further information is expected and this webpage will be updated in accordance.
